Seven Foods To Lower High Blood Pressure

It is very sad to hear that there are a lot of people who have high blood pressure. This is because having a high blood pressure can lead to aneurysm, heart attacks and even stroke.

Thus, it means that people with high blood pressure are very prone to many fatal diseases which is not good.

However, do you know that there are certain foods that can be helpful in avoiding such diseases?

Certainly, that consuming the following foods will be helpful to have a healthy heart and body.

1. Avocado –

There are oleic acid present in avocados and that substance is very helpful in reducing the cholesterol level of an individual.

Aside from that, there are also folic acids as well as potassium present on avocados which is very important for the health of the heart.


2. Bananas –

This fruit is very rich in potassium as well as it is very rich in fiber which is important in preventing different heart diseases.

According to the different researches that have been conducted by the different research institution, one banana per day is enough to prevent high blood pressure.


3. Chocolates –

For those chocolate lovers out there, you can now rejoice since it has been found out that the flavonoids in chocolates are essential in helping to lower the blood pressure level by the stimulation of the production of nitric oxide.

Those nitric oxide signal the muscles around the blood vessel to relax, thus there is an increase in blood flow. But remember, you should eat dark chocolates.


4. Nuts –

There are almonds, red beans, peanuts and other nuts available out there are those nuts contain magnesium and potassium wherein it has been known that potassium is very effective in lowering the blood pressure.


5. Potato –

This vegetable contains many nutrients such as minerals, fibers as well as potassium which have been identified to be very good in stabilizing the blood pressure of an individual.

However, due to improper cooking as well as food processing of potatoes, many of the nutrients are being lost.


6. Soybean –

Soy contains many advantages for the health since it can help in lowering bad cholesterol as well as high blood pressure. In addition, there is isoflavon in soy that is also beneficial for the health.


7. Spinach –

Popeye loves spinach, so should we. We all know that spinach gives energy to Popeye, this is because spinach contains lots of magnesium which protects the body from heart diseases as well as it can also help in reducing the blood pressure.

Aside from that, there is also folate in spinach which helps in protecting the body against amino acids called homocysteine. When the levels of homocycsteine are very high, it can cause strokes as well as heart attacks.
