4. Once you've made a guest list, start sending out those invitations. Send them out early, so your guests will have time to juggle their busy schedules.
5. Don't forget your entertainment. If you're just planning to throw a casual party for your friends, then you can just do some karaoke. For those who are thinking of throwing a more formal party, you might want to hire the services of a DJ, just to keep the excitement going all throughout the party.
6. Buy tons and tons of food! There's a reason why people pack in the pounds during the holiday. During this time, people like to eat. They treat themselves and leave the dieting for the New Year. If you feel that your cooking is not up to this task, it would be best to avail the help of a catering service. This way, you don't have to do all the hard work! This also leaves you more time to take care of those last minute preparations.
