Like many diets, the cabbage soup diet allows its users to quickly lose weight by semi-starvation. This diet is based upon eating cabbage soup as the main food consumption with few other foods allowed at only specific times . A simple 7-day diet of do-it-yourself cabbage soup plus a mixture of other fruits & vegetables and a little meat. Despite many ludicrous claims, cabbage does not possess any 'fat-burning' properties. What you eat on the cabbage soup diet.. Day 1 Home-made cabbage soup, plus any fruit, apart from bananas. Day 2 Home-made cabbage soup, plus other vegetables, including a baked potato with butter for dinner (potatoes are off-limits on other days) Day 3 Home-made cabbage soup, plus other fruits and vegetables. Day 4 Home-made cabbage soup, plus anything up to 8 bananas and fat-free milk. Day 5 Home-made cabbage soup, plus 6 tomatoes and up to 450 grams of meat or fish. Day 6 Home-made cabbage soup, plus meat and vegetables. Day 7 Home-made cabbage soup, plus brown rice, pure fruit juice, and vegetables. Cabbage soup diet as a short term break from the average junk-food diet is okay. In addition, home-made soup, any vegetable soup will do - and is reasonably filling. Cabbage Soup Diet and all diets work to some degree, even the most ridiculous of diets will allow its user to quickly lose weight even if for short periods of time.
