How to Build Confidence in Yourself One Day at a Time Many of us have many goals and dreams we envision for our lives, but without self-confidence, well get nowhere with them. Building up confidence in yourself will give you the motivation you need to achieve everything you want out of life.
Here are three exercises you can try each day to gain the self-confidence you need.
Start a journal. A confidence-boosting journal should contain positive things you did for that day. Most people accomplish a lot of little things in the span of 24 hours, but dont really think of them as achievements.
By putting them in a journal each day, you see how they build up over the weeks, months, and years. You might start with the simple things like five ways you paid a random act of kindness to a stranger or three things you did that helped further your career.
It can be something as simple as holding the door open for a little old lady or reading a book about saving for retirement. As you look back on your entries of positive accomplishments, it will give you motivation to achieve even more.
List your goals in baby steps. Instead of setting a goal to accomplish the whole thing at once, try breaking it down in tiny steps that need to meet each day. Each time you get to cross off the little steps, you gain more confidence in yourself and youll empower yourself to reach the next step until youve achieved the primary goal.
If your goal is to save money for a vacation, you can plan tiny steps like placing $5 in a savings jar each day. Youll feel good knowing youve done seven things for yourself one week rather than waiting until you suddenly have $1,000 falling into your lap for your upcoming holiday.
Plus, if you fail to achieve your big goals, it can diminish the self-confidence you have built up, so small goals and baby steps help you gain the esteem youre lacking.
Read inspirational quotes. Search the Internet or purchase a book with lots of inspirational quotes on confidence or self-esteem. Read one of the quotes daily and see if you can apply it to your life throughout the day.
You can add it to your journal entry. If todays inspirational quote talks about greeting everyone you meet that day (instead of avoiding eye contact), and then try it.
At the end of the day, you can journal it as one more positive thing you accomplished.
Learn good stress relief techniques. Stress is an abnormal condition that disrupts the normal functions of the body or mind. No two people are affected in exactly the same way, or to the same degree, but most people living in our highly industrialized society suffer from its effects at one or more times during their lives. Tips for your Health:
Dandelion More Than Just a Common Weed
Its name originated out of the fact that some believe its leaves resembled the tooth of a lion, but for years the Dandelion has done more than just help bees make honey.
While its juices are bitter, many animals consume the plant for various reasons, including its ability to stimulate milk production.
For humans, the benefits derived from the Dandelion are quite different. Some people do blanche the leaves and use them in salads, or eat them on sandwiches and in soups, but the plant also serves some medicinal needs.
Both the root and leaves of the Dandelion are used as an alternative to man-made prescriptions. The most powerful portion of the Dandelion is the milky white juice found within the root itself.
Dandelion has been harvested for centuries and is often most effective when the weed is in its infancy. It was first used as a medicinal treatment in the tenth century, when it was first used to treat liver ailments. Dandelions used to stimulate the entire system, but primarily focuses on the needs of the urinary tract.
Aside from the liver, Dandelion is also consumed for kidney disorders. While it can be taken in straight high doses without being poisonous, Dandelion is usually mixed with other agents in patent medicines and herbal treatments alike.
People who have chronic liver complaints over time often find relief in taking a soup made from Dandelion roots harvested at a young age. Its said to provide a slight laxative effect and helps aid digestion when you have an upset stomach.
Dandelion has been used successfully in the treatment of gallstones and has also been found safe to give to children. The weed is given to those suffering eczema and other topical diseases and has even been known to remove warts when the juice of the stalk is applied as a topical treatment to the affected area.
A Dandelion tea is used to treat various urinary ailments. A single ounce of the juice is mixed with boiling water and then sweetened with honey before being served. The frequency and doses of how much Dandelion is consumed depends on the type of disease youre treating.
For instance, to treat piles, you would take three wineglassfuls of Dandelion concoction per day, but for a liver and kidney treatment, you would only need to take 1 teaspoonful of a concoction three times a day.
Using Dandelion to resolve your medical issues is a great alternative to depending on high-priced prescriptions, but its always best to check with your doctor and make sure its suitable for your needs.

Tips for your Prosperity:
Untraditional Ways to Save on Travel Costs
Each year at vacation time most of us either drive or fly to a familiar tourist destination, stay in a tourist hotel, eat tourist food, do tourist activities and in one or two weeks return home feeling like a tourist. Theres nothing wrong with this. Millions do it every year.
But why not get off the beaten path of the madding crowd and experience something untraditional? There are countless lands to explore and numerous ways to do it if we have the wandering spirit to search and learn. And, most of these excursions are less expensive than the accustomed trip.
Swap your home with another family in another area. This is particularly feasible if you live in a tourist destination. Search on line and newspapers for people willing to do this.
Details are easily worked out via email or phone and often no money changes hands. If a trade cant be worked out offer to rent the property. Shop carefully and request pictures.
Bed & Breakfasts are delightful places to stay especially in Europe for a reasonable price plus enjoy a home cooked breakfast to start each day. Prices will vary, you may have to share a bath and a deposit will probably be required. Many people say this is the only way to travel and savor the culture.
Elderhostels are the choice of many over the age of 55. There are more than 8,000 elderhostels in all 50 states and more than 90 countries.
People from all walks of life gather together to experience educational tours, learn, exchange ideas and explore the world at a reasonable cost.
Cost will vary depending on where you travel. These are not for profit tours with teachers and guides who know the countryside and culture.
Volunteer and vacation. If you like the idea of going somewhere and helping others make a better way of life this may be for you. Most of the time you travel in groups making discounts easier to obtain.
At home and abroad you spend time volunteering on various projects such as rebuilding homes in New Orleans or planting trees in the Amazon jungle. But theres always time for fun along the way. Get more information from the United Way or Red Cross.
Trade your hotel keys for RV keys. With the price of gas this is not as doable as it once was but more young people are buying RVs where it once was reserved for the 60 plus crowd.
The larger the family and the longer the trip the more you can save by foregoing hotels and preparing your own meals in the RV or at the camp site. The work you do can offset the gas cost. If youre not sure you want to take the plunge and buy an RV many are available to rent.
If youre seeking to reflect on your inner self, rooms at monasteries and spiritual retreats may be rented all over the country. Most are inexpensive, some only require a donation.
You may also be asked to participate in some of their activities and help with chores but its not necessary to share their beliefs. Experience the quiet amid beautiful settings.
Break the hotel habit and seek the road less traveled. Untraditional vacations may be just what youve been longing for.

Women Drivers I was riding to work yesterday when I observed a female driver cut right in front of a pickup truck causing him to have to drive on to the shoulder to avoid hitting her. This evidently angered the driver enough that he hung his arm out his window and flipped the woman off. ”Man, that guy is stupid” I thought to myself.
I ALWAYS smile nicely and wave in a sheepish manner whenever a female does anything to me in traffic and here’s why:
I drive 48 miles each way every day to work, that’s 96 miles each day. Of these, 16 miles each way is bumper-to-bumper. Most of the bumper-to-bumper is on an 8 lane highway so if you just look at the 7 lanes I am not in, that means I pass something like a new car every 40 feet per lane.
That’s 7 cars every 40 feet for 32 miles. That works out to be 982 cars every mile, or 31,424 cars. Even though the rest of the 32 miles is not bumper to bumper, I figure I pass at least another 4000 cars. That brings the number to something like 36, 000 cars I pass every day.
Statistically, half of these are driven by females, that’s 18, 000. In any given group of females, 1 in 28 has PMS. That’s 642. According to Cosmopolitan, 70% describe their love life as dissatisfying or unrewarding. That’s 449. According to the National Institute of Health, 22% of all females have seriously considered suicide or homicide. That’s 98. And 34% describe men as their biggest problem. That’s 33.
According to the National Rifle Association 5% of all females carry weapons and this number is increasing. That means that EVERY SINGLE DAY, I drive past at least one female that has a lousy love life, thinks men are her biggest problem, has seriously considered suicide or homicide, has PMS, and is armed.
Flip one off?
I think not.
