One Minute Tip:
FIVE WAYS TO BEAT WORRY:
(1) Separate worries into those you can do something about and those you can’t. Deal with the first group, and forget the rest.
(2) Distract yourself with a walk, a book or a movie.
(3) Behave as though you aren’t worried. (Sometimes you can even fool yourself by blocking out worries)
(4) Have long talks about your worries and anxieties with a friend
(5) Use a relaxation technique such as meditation or yoga.
When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal. -Napoleon Hill
I always remember an epitaph which is in the cemetery at Tombstone, Arizona. It says: ‘Here lies Jack Williams. He done his damnedest.’ I think that is the greatest epitaph a man can have. – Harry S Truman
Formal education will make you a living, self education will make you a fortune. – Jim Rohn
Tips for your Happiness:
Be Your Own Marriage Counselor
Love and marriage may go together like a horse and carriage but sometimes they become unhitched. Marriage without love is like a carriage without a horse…one without the other is not going anywhere.
Perhaps your marriage is suffering a severe lack of love and you’re thinking about mounting the nearest available horse and getting the heck out of marriageville.
Wait! Maybe you and your spouse should seek counseling…or better yet be your own counselor. It can be done but it takes a concentrated plan of action from both the husband and wife.
Most couples, in time of trouble, resort to their basic instincts of hate, disrespect, demands and anger. There goes the respect and love that will eventually be replaced by hate which could result in divorce.
You must take action to avoid divorce which is a life changing occurrence, usually not for the better. Create a plan to restore your love and respect.
You’ve been playing your marriage by ear day by day and trusting your instincts. This may work for awhile, even a few years, but as marriage breeds apathy you must seek and plan for a rekindling of that old flame
Remember how emotional you were when you first fell in love? When you’re in love your emotions enable you to contribute to each other’s emotional needs.
These range from being honest, admiring, communicating and being affectionate. You did and felt these qualities quite naturally early in your relationship. But, as love faded so did your emotions.
Love, no doubt, is the most important quality in a relationship but it takes more sometimes to make a marriage survive. It requires your willingness and ability to care and protect each other. Half hearted love and dedication will make it difficult to swim upstream when the waters get rough.
Know that love is both give and take, but if you’re keeping score of how much you give and your spouse takes your marriage might be doomed from the start. There will be both giving and receiving of bads and goods.
Sometimes you’re the giver and sometimes the taker. Know how to do both with love and affection.
It may call for a change in your behavioral patterns. If you’re prone to angry outbursts and criticizing replace these with calmness and compliments. Making your spouse feel good is something you should enjoy doing.
Husbands and wives need a certain amount of undivided attention. Don’t let volunteer work, family, work or children get in the way.
As your own counselor you must learn to negotiate and come to a joint agreement that is pleasant and thoughtful. Look at the problems from all sides and that could include more than yours and your spouse.
Brainstorm and offer creative solutions. If you get angry, stop negotiating and come back later.
Nobody said marriage is easy and neither is being your own marriage counselor. At least you’re making an effort to become a better spouse in hopes of salvaging your marriage.
Believe in yourself and you will believe in others.
You have probably heard this before. Stress is a key contributor to poor health. Study after study has found that when a person is stressed, the body reacts.

Tips for your Health:
Can Herbs Cure Sinusitis?
When a sinus infection attacks, it can linger for weeks and not only cause physical symptoms, but emotional distress. Faced with a flood of over the counter medications, many consumers are opting for herbal remedies to treat sinusitis.
It’s more than just a runny nose or a headache that won’t go away. When sinusitis strikes, your entire body is fatigued and it seems as if it’s a common cold that you can’t get rid of.
In reality, your sinuses are in need of an herbal treatment to repair the damage being done to your body and set you on a path to wellness.
The National Center for Health Statistics says that sinusitis is the single most common disorder affecting American today. Herbal remedies treat the symptoms, including congestion, headaches, and pressure in the head.
Unlike a viral or bacterial infection, sinusitis just means that your sinuses are inflamed. Herbs can help cause the sinuses to return to normal quicker, since many sinus infections last for three months or longer.
Doctors will generally prescribe antibiotics, but they do nothing to prepare the body against a recurring attack. Plus, they tend to compromise the amount of good bacteria living in your sinuses to help ward off infection.
Herbs, on the other hand, provide a natural balance to your body and enable it to get stronger and fight off infection for good.
The key to beating and keeping sinus infections at bay is to get your immune system healthy. Echinacea is one herbal immune booster that helps with inflammation and protects your mucus membranes from being pierced by infectious bacteria.
A single capsule of 150-300 mg or 1 teaspoon fluid extract mixed with 1 cup of water is sufficient to treat your sinuses.
Goldenseal is another natural herbal remedy used to treat sinus infections. Its immune-enhancing properties help with the natural flow of mucus, helping your body get rid of toxins that are slowing you down. You can start treatment with a 250-500 mg capsule or 1 teaspoon of fluid extract combined with a cup of water.
Two other herbs commonly used to treat sinus infections are nettle and licorice, using the same doses as in Goldenseal treatments.
Regardless of which herb you use to treat your own sinus infection, make sure you take every available precaution to fortify your immune system so that your body has it in it to fight off infection the next time it’s faced with an unfriendly bacterial infection.
Allergies Can Make You Snore
Do you have a problem with snoring? You might be surprised to find out that it is coming from a problem with allergies. Even if you do not typically have allergic reactions, they can show up during the night whenever we are breathing more deeply.
Most people realize that they have some problems with pollen allergies but few of them make that connection between this type of allergen and snoring. During the day, our hair acts as a magnet for this type of pollen and if we don’t wash our hair before bedtime, it can be transferred to the pillow. This can make for a very difficult night of sleep as we breathe the pollen in from the pillow slip.

Tips for your Prosperity:
Movie Fun Savings for Families
A night at the movies can be a great get-together for the entire family whether at the theater or at home. Hollywood is getting more family conscious and producing more movies for general audiences so the selection is better than in times past.
If you’re not sure about a certain movie’s content, go online and do your research. You can’t always go by the rating but that’s a good place to start. You might wonder sometimes how a movie got a PG rating.
Movies, like most everything else in life, are not as affordable as they used to be. Depending on what city you live in you can expect to spend $7 to $10 or more for an adult ticket and about $2 less for children under 12. Discounts are available for students who provide a valid school ID.
What time you go to a movie makes a difference. Most theaters offer a matinee discount of several dollars if you catch the afternoon showings. These usually are the movies shown before 5 PM.
Some theaters also have super value days when you get matinee prices all day. This is typically on a slow day such as Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Unfortunately, there still is no discount at the concession counter no matter what time you go.
Find a dollar movie theater or at least one that offers very cheap tickets. They show the same features although a few weeks later than first run theaters. It’s worth a wait if you want to save money.
You’ll probably also save money on popcorn, candy and drinks but perhaps have to forego some comforts like stadium seating. Most discount movies are shown in the older theaters and may not be as plush as the modern ones.
Drive-In theaters are still found in some cities and are as a rule bargains and fun. Some offer first run movies at a discount or even allow the entire carload to get in for one price. Drive-In movies are ideal for families because you can bring in food and drinks. Bring your lawn chairs too and sit outside if you want.
Dive-In movies are gaining popularity in pools and parks. Many swimming pools and parks offer free movies and popcorn. Families can lounge poolside if they don’t want to get wet or watch the movie from the cool water.
Have a movie night at home for the family. But, do more than just rent a DVD by involving the entire family and creating a more theater like atmosphere. Pop some popcorn for the aroma and darken the room. With a DVD, you’re in control and can schedule an intermission for bathroom breaks and snacks of pickles, candy and ice cream in addition to the popcorn.
To save money on movie DVDs join a movie club and get your movies by mail. Finish one and they’ll mail you another one. Families can enjoy selecting the movies together. Movies are a great way to escape and provide the family an affordable night together.
