One Minute Tip:

Plan By Outcomes

Everyday there is so much to do. But if we look back at the end of the week, most of us have a problem identifying a few things that were accomplished. The culprit: planning by activities and not focusing on outcomes.

Granted, an activity or a set of activities will produce outcomes. However, during a week we may perform a number of activities and not produce any outcomes. This by design, may be OK but most often, it’s NOT! We get carried away by a number of activities (planned and unplanned) and a week passes by with no outcomes.

What we should all be aware of is that we get rewarded for producing outcomes and not for participating in activities. If all the activities in which we are participating are leading to no outcomes, there is a problem — a serious problem! That needs to be fixed asap.

The solution may be as simple as planning our week by outcomes — what do we want to accomplish this week? It can be only one outcome or a few outcomes but the deal is to know what results do we want to produce this week. At the end of the week, we can do a quick analysis to see where we are and design the next week accordingly.

Power Quotes:

Thoughtfulness for others, generosity, modesty and self-respect are the qualities which make a real gentleman or lady. -Thomas H. Huxley

Maturity is achieved when a person postpones immediate pleasures for long-term values.  – Joshua L. Liebman

The most damaging phrase in the language is: “It’s always been done that way.”  -Rear Admiral Grace Hopper

Tips for your Happiness:

Christian Marriage: Letting God Be Your Guide to Relationship Repair

Most Christian marriages begin in a church. You gather together in a house of God with your minister, your friends and family and the one with whom you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life.

Husband and wife each vow to love, honour and obey ‘till death do you part. You promise to comfort each other in sickness and in health and to remain together whether rich or poor.

These promises were not only made to your betrothed but also to God. God keeps His promises so if your marriage is in trouble where does the fault lie? It could be that you and your spouse have not entered the church since the marriage.

Regular church attendance may not be the answer to your problems but it’s a good place to begin. A church can help you feel closer to God and there are people there who share the same beliefs as you and can provide support.

Of course, most ministers are always available and willing to offer advice. Ministers have been trained to provide marriage help in times of crisis.

Christian counselling may be what you need if you find God hard to reach by yourself. It can help you determine what God wants from your marriage. It will allow you to understand your spouse and God better while bringing you closer to the solution.

The Bible teaches that since the beginning, marriage has been a part of God’s plan for humanity. He can help you refocus on your priorities and rediscover your love for each other even if you no longer feel love and know the situation is hopeless.

When you ask God for help, expect a miracle. Seek God’s help in rebuilding love, trust and to heal your hurt. You’ll learn how to attack the problem and not the person you love. With God’s help you’ll be better able to communicate and express your feelings hidden deep within your heart.

There are many books you can read about Christian marriage and how to seek God’s help. You might start with the Bible that teaches faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love.

It also encourages you to be forgiving and tender hearted. Faults you see in your spouse may be a mirror of your own. Be forgiving of your partner’s faults, overlook them and be compassionate.

The Bible says be pleasant and helpful. Look for ways to do good deeds and to make your spouse happy. Offer encouragement in all endeavors. Be complimentary.

No one likes to be criticized and most of the time it’s undeserved. As Christ has forgiven you, so must you be forgiving. If a marriage is to survive you must be forgiving and compassionate.

It’s easy to get distracted and become involved in worldly so-called worldly pleasures. So many of these problems are directly opposed to God’s teaching such as lying, adultery and pornography. These are pretty serious problems and may not be a part of your life but small sins grow as we drift away from God and his teachings.

God teaches us to re-examine ourselves and ask for help. Bury your pride and come to God with a willing spirit and you’ll find a renewed closeness to God and the person you love.

Eliminate Stress

Tips for your Health:

Can You Reverse Hearing Loss?

Unfortunately, hearing loss can’t be reversed, but you can boost your hearing with special aids or treatments. Hearing loss due to aging is common and it’s believed that heredity and a constant dose of loud noises are also causes.

Blockages, cause by earwax can cause a certain amount of hearing loss that prevents you from hearing sounds. Ear infections and bone growth or tumors that affect the middle or outer ear can also cause hearing loss.

You’re able to hear noises when the nerve cells in the inner ear part of the cochlea sends sound signals to the brain and lose the ability to hear as earwax build up or hairs and nerve cells in the cochlea are damaged.

Signs of hearing loss include muted speech or sounds, constantly turning up the volume of the radio or television, not hearing conversations clearly so that you don’t join in and avoiding social activities because of hearing problems.

Your quality of life can be greatly affected by hearing loss. Anxiety and depression can occur as well as frustration over not being able to hear conversations. Senior citizens may experience problems for years before seeking treatment and those who are close to them may begin withdrawing or at the very least become frustrated by the hearing loss predicament.

When you do seek treatment for hearing loss, your primary doctor will likely send you to a hearing specialist – an audiologist. The audiologist will evaluate your hearing loss based on what you tell her, so be sure you write down symptoms that you’re experiencing and ask friends and family about changes they’ve noticed that could possibly be attributed to hearing loss.

Jot down a brief history that includes jobs you may have had that surrounded you with loud noises, family history of hearing loss and medical information that lists medications, vitamins and supplements or any diseases you may have experienced – even if you think they don’t have anything to do with the problem. Also write any questions that you have for the doctor, including which tests she recommends.

Questions that your doctor may have for you to help her better understand the cause(s) of your hearing loss include, a description of your symptoms and how rapidly they’ve come on, if there’s any ringing or similar sounds in your ears, whether or not you’re experiencing pain, your history of ear problems including infections, ear surgery or any other medical problems that may have affected your ears.

Treatments for hearing loss have improved greatly over the past few years. You may be able to wear a hearing device that is minimally noticeable and that you barely know is there. Once you seek treatment for hearing loss and regain at least a part of your hearing, your self-esteem will probably return as will your relationships with others. Your entire lifestyle will be much brighter and improved.

Do You Need a Marketing Mentor or Can You Go It Alone?

Some newbies to the Internet Marketing world feel like, without a mentor, they’ll flounder online and won’t be able to make headway in this type of business. But that isn’t always the case.

The last thing you want to do is have a mentor whose only goal is to make money – for himself. You want someone who can look at your individual strengths and weaknesses and help you find a business model that will satisfy you personally and financially.

You may need an overall mentor for your efforts, or choose to hire a mentor who has experience in one specific area of Internet Marketing, like Search Engine Optimization or Pay Per Click Marketing.

Marketing can’t be summed up into one tiny, neatly wrapped package because there are too many aspects of marketing to make it that narrow. Don’t expect to learn everything in one session with a mentor. It’s not a topic where mastery happens in one sitting.

You don’t have to have a marketing mentor if you want to run your own online business or even several online businesses. You’ll make mistakes (even the top marketing gurus still make mistakes) and you may even have some total failures, but that helps you learn what to avoid next time.

Hiring a marketing coach isn’t cheap and you could expect to pay thousands over time for help from some of the best coaching experts. If you’re just starting out, or you’ve been in business awhile and it’s not taking off the way you’d like, you might not be in the position to afford a coach.

That doesn’t mean you can’t find free expert help to guide you on the path to marketing well. There’s a great deal of advice and guidance online for marketers in any stage of their business and it’s all free of charge.

You can find this advice and guidance online through marketing blogs, forums and even articles written by marketers who have already been where you are now. You’ll learn about which marketing tools to buy, which ones are a waste of time and money and what the hottest niches are today.

All this will cost you is your time. Find a marketer who keeps a regular blog and covers the information you need to know. Check out the blog archives, too.

Having the ability to read is the only qualification you need to make your marketing business a profit puller. Put the effort into researching and studying what you don’t know but need to learn.

So many marketers have graciously shared the wealth of their knowledge online for free, but you have to do the work of unearthing the nuggets you need to succeed.

What Kids Say About Marriage:

You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.
– Alan, age 10

No person really decides before they grow up who they’re going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you find out later who you’re stuck with.
– Kristen, age 10

Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
– Camille, age 10

You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.
– Derrick, age 8

Both don’t want any more kids.
– Lori, age 8

Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.
– Lynnette, age 8 (isn’t she a treasure)

On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.
– Martin, age 10

When they’re rich.
– Pam, age 7

The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn’t want to mess with that.
– Curt, age 7

The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It’s the right thing to do.
– Howard, age 8

I don’t know which is better, but I’ll tell you one thing. I’m never going to have sex with my wife. I don’t want to be all grossed out.
– Theodore, age 8

It’s better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.
– Anita, age 9 (bless you child)

Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck.
– Ricky, age 10
