You need to know the basic tasks in taking care of a baby or a young child. You have to be on your toes, alert and responsive to any situation. Parents may interview you and observe your actions to get a feel of your capabilities.

Sometimes, babies have an aversion to certain people without any plausible reason. Parents will observe if the baby is inclined to obey and follow you.

However, once you get the job, it is highly possible you will always be called upon for babysitting tasks. The word will spread in the community and you may end up with a lot of offers in the long run.

Pets, like babies, need people to take care of them.

Dogs and cats are the more common pets. You can take them walking or watch over them while the owner is away.
