As you surpass your milestones, reward yourself.

Tips for your Happiness: When a Bad Relationship Damages Your Self-Esteem It can be tough for you to bounce back from the mental abuse you had to endure and your self-esteem suffers greatly because of it. The mental abuse you were put through is usually an attack by your partner to make you feel worthless and insecure. The partner does it to gain control and boost his or her own ego (yes, women can be abusive, too). They want you to have low self-esteem so you won’t think for yourself. Getting out of a relationship like that is the first step you need to take in order to save your own sanity. There are other things you’ll need to do to bounce back from the mental abuse. It’s important to stay active. Get out and do things with your family and friends, because an abuser loves to alienate you from your loved ones. Keep your mind focused on other things so that you don’t isolate yourself at home and become dependent on the negative person who’s feeding into your self-esteem issues. Call up friends, read uplifting books or concentrate on a project like redecorating your house. Do whatever it takes to keep you going. If you have a job, continue to work and take note of your goals and achievements. If you don’t have a job, look for one. Working can get your mind off of your problems and give you the necessary affirmation that you can do whatever you put your mind to - and that you’re not worthless. Avoid jumping into other relationships until you’re fully healed emotionally. You’re more likely to fall for other partners who are just like your ex. You don’t want to get into the same situation as before and repeat the cycle of abuse. Don’t waste time on thoughts of your ex - whether it’s negative or otherwise. Some people make the mistake of spending a lot of time with thoughts of how much they hate their former partner or how they wish they could get revenge. Release the anger and focus on what’s important – you! It’s time to move forward with your life. Don’t be afraid to seek some professional help. A professional can help you work through your feelings and help you build your self-esteem back up. Don’t let a bad relationship break your spirit.
Dealing With Work Related Stress Examples that can cause work related stress are trying to get too much work done in too little time, cutting corners or otherwise taking chances that may put you, or someone else at risk, and trying to get along with superiors and co-workers. Everybody has days when there simply seems there's too much work to get done. Trying to get everything done by yourself can bring on stress. Some people try and deal with the pressure by delegating certain jobs to others. If you can unburden yourself and not worry about when and how the work gets done, if you can put full faith and trust in co-workers or subordinates it can be an effective escape valve. Trouble is, most people can't let go. If you have the type of personality that demands to know how things are going, chances are you're only increasing the pressure and stress on yourself by constantly worrying if the work is getting done or not. To lessen stress you must either learn to trust others to get the job done, or prioritize jobs to get rid of "what must be done" first. Many people tend to "put off" the difficult jobs they hate to do until the last possible minute. Of course, this only makes it all the more difficult and stressful when you finally get around to doing what you should have done earlier. When you feel the "walls closing in on you" if possible, take a break. Many people in trying to relax actually kick their bodies into overdrive by using their break time to either get a nicotine or caffeine fix. Instead of calming you down, both substances being stimulants speed up your body processes. You may think you're relaxing, but your blood pressure and heart are working harder. Eliminate Stress

How Our Ancestors Introduced Herbal Remedies to the Modern World Without herbal medicine, modern medicine would not be in the advanced stage that it is. Our species has relied on plants for thousands of years – not only for nutrition, but to ease ailments that develop within our minds and bodies. The parts of an herb have helped us survive disease and pestilence and contributed to our survival for as long as humans have existed. Over time, we have learned which herbs and parts of a plant provide value to our lives and which have the potential to cause damage. We know that our ancestors used herbal remedies because archeologists have unearthed evidence that they used plant-based treatments all over the world. What’s intriguing is that cultures on a global scale, which had no known contact with one another, all used herbal remedies in much the same way – testing and tracking what worked and what didn’t in the herbal world of remedies. As time proved some assumptions correct, our ancestors passed the teachings about herbal treatments down through familial lineage. They also created texts to help others study and learn about the techniques used in taking a natural approach to healing. It was from our ancestral roots that modern-day pharmaceutical companies derived their synthetic drugs today. They work to try to recreate the natural effects herbal treatments deliver to the human body, sometimes succeeding and often failing. Aspiring, for example, was created as a replica of the substance found in willow bark that provides a natural pain reliever. Botanical treatments do not provide the same side effects that synthetic drugs do, which accounts for the reason why many modern-day consumers are steering away from man-made compounds and concentrating on the return to their roots of herbal remedies and natural treatments. When our ancestors began cultivating plants for their own use, they included herbal gardens that provided immediate access to particular plants they found soothing for their ailments, including aloe, peppermint, mustard, and more. As the cultures began to merge throughout the years and travelers started exploring the world, ideas were exchanged and treatments one culture found useful were now in the hands of another culture who previously didn’t have access to such findings or even the plants themselves, before trade. Herbs were so important to our ancestors that they became a part of religious rituals and were highly valued. Today, not only do consumers see the significance in promoting herbal treatments, but doctors are aligning with this way of thinking as well.

Tips for your Prosperity: How to Save Money on Airfare as Prices Keep Rising Flying is fun. Well, maybe not as much fun as it used to be but it’s still exciting to board that big bird and jet to destinations beyond the horizon. No doubt there are more hassles now with security and tickets cost more as airlines struggle to keep their heads above the clouds of rising costs. Airlines are cutting back on giveaways and laying off personnel. They’re also tacking on baggage fees and adding extra charges for atypical check throughs such as golf clubs and pets. Children travelling alone now pay more because they have to be watched and cared for. But, there are ways to fly smart and save if you’re creative. Be flexible. If you can fly any carrier, any time, and almost anywhere you’ll come out dollars ahead. Don’t be choosy (assuming you have a choice) about which airline you fly. Shop, compare and buy the cheapest ticket. Airlines offer specials but check the restrictions and dates to fly. Ask about taxes and fees that can inflate the base cost. Fly off-peak days such as Saturday and Tuesday through Thursday. Business travelers usually fill up the plane on the other days so don’t fly when they do. Stay over a weekend if possible. Don’t fly on a Monday or Friday. That’s when people are either leaving or coming home. Avoid flying on holidays for obvious reasons. Buy your ticket in advance. We’re talking two to four months in advance. This gives the airline a chance to plan ahead on how many passengers they’ll have and how many to feed (if you’re lucky enough to get fed.) Before you depart, check to see if there has been a reduction in the fare since you bought your ticket. If so, call and ask if they’ll offer you a refund of the difference or a travel voucher for a later flight. Depart before sunrise or after sunset and your savings will get brighter. Sure you’d rather depart at 10AM perhaps, but get up a little earlier and catch the redeye that takes off at 3AM and pocket the savings. Besides, you’ll get to your destination earlier. Connecting flights with layovers are usually cheaper than direct flights. Direct flights are more convenient and may get you there a little sooner but think of the fun of seeing new and different airports. You may have a long enough layover to make a quick tour of the city. Collect air miles especially if you’re a frequent flyer with various programs offered by the airline and credit card companies. Some have partnership agreements allowing you a bigger choice on which airline to fly. Keep track of your air miles with records and receipts as airlines have been known to lose miles. And, remember you don’t have to just fly to build air miles. Other purchases can work as well. Pack efficiently and don’t check through luggage if possible. Utilize your carry-ons and do without luxury items that take up space. You must be decisive and make a few sacrifices but good deals are out there. Flying is an adventure – enjoy it!
