One Minute Tip:
Don’t let yesterday’s dreams become a trap! Regularly pause to evaluate what you really want in life. Adjust your direction and your daily routine to suit the “new you” and move in the direction you truly want to go. A few people might complain, or even call you “unreliable” but I promise, in the long run you’ll have a happier, richer, and more successful life. Power Quotes:
Happiness:
”The thoughts we choose to think are the tools we use to paint
the canvas of our lives.” Health:
”Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space
is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our
growth and our freedom.” Prosperity:
”People are not lazy. They simply have impotent goals – that is
goals that do not inspire them.” Tips for your Happiness:
Encourage Friendships
Men, unlike women, have a more difficult time in developing close friendships with other men. This is a natural part of life and while they may have some buddies from high school or college that they see on occasion, rarely do they set specific time aside just for friends. Men and women both need an outlet outside of the relationship where they can just let their guard down and have some fun with the same gender. As your mate makes new friendships, encourage that growth and show 100% support!
Christmas Decoration Ideas for Kids
Are you a parent? If so, there is a good chance that you already know just how much kids love the holidays. That is why you may want to think about letting your children help you decorate for Christmas. In fact, in addition to just letting them help you hang Christmas decorations, you may also want to let them make their own handmade Christmas decorations. Not only will you find that there are a number of benefits to doing so, but you will also find that there are a number of fun and exciting Christmas decorations that they can easily make. Almost every family that celebrates Christmas has a Christmas tree; therefore, there is a good chance that your family will have one. One fun and exciting Christmas craft project that your children could do involves making their own Christmas ornaments. Christmas ornaments can be made from regular paper or any other type of material. In fact, you can purchase a number of Christmas ornament cutouts or guides from your local craft store. These ornament pieces are likely plain, but already shaped like something, such as a star or a cross. It would be up to your child to paint their ornament. This type of Christmas decoration craft project is great for small children or those who may be making their own Christmas decorations for the first time. In addition to Christmas trees, a large number of families have small Christmas signs or pictures throughout their home. These signs and pictures often state a Christmas message or have a picture of Santa. Your children could easily make their own paintings or drawings, often with the supplies that can already be found inside your home. Your childs picture would likely look great on your refrigerator or you could even frame the picture and hang it up somewhere else inside your home. This type of Christmas decoration craft project is ideal for children of any age and, as previously mentioned, is a great way to save money since you likely already have all of the needed supplies. Another fun Christmas decoration that your children could do is make a centerpiece for your dinning room table. In fact, you may also want to use that centerpiece for your Christmas dinner. If you are looking for a somewhat elegant centerpiece, you could easily have your children make their own. You can do this by purchasing artificial flowers, a large bowl or vase, as well as other decorative items. Your children can easily arrange these items to create their own unique centerpieces for your dinning room table. It may also be a good idea to let them be crafty. Your child may also be able to create a centerpiece in the shape of Santa or a Christmas tree by using construction paper and a few other small supplies. The above mentioned Christmas craft decoration ideas for kids are just a few of the many that exist. In addition to using your own craft ideas, you can also find a number of other fun Christmas craft projects for kids online. You can find a collection of ideas by performing a standard internet search. Also, in your local library or at one of your local book stores, you may also be able to find a collection of Christmas craft books for children. These books tend to outline the supplies needed, as well as give detailed directions on how to make Christmas decorations. These decorations may include Christmas drawings or paintings, tree ornaments, table centerpieces, and much more. Regardless of which type of Christmas decorations you allow your child or children to make, they will likely enjoy the experience, especially if you participate as well. For a child, there is nothing like seeing their Christmas drawings hanging on the walls or their Christmas ornaments hanging on the tree. That is why you are advised to let your children make their own Christmas decorations. As mentioned above, there are a number of decorations that they can easily create; decorations that may require little time and money.
How to Stop Cursing and Become a Pleasant and Polite Person
Everybody knows that it is bad to swear or curse, but for some people, cursing is a habit that seems to be part of their very identity. Some people have just come to accept that they cant stop cursing and others will just have to put up with them. But this isnt true, it is very possible to stop cursing.
Here are some ideas on how to stop cursing:
1. Acknowledge that you have a problem. It may be okay to swear in some occasions, there are some times that you cant express your feelings any better than swearing, but it can be a problem if you utter profanities every minute. Know that it is a problem that needs to be solved.
2. Investigate why you swear. Many people actually dont know why they curse in the first place. Some may just hang around people who have a habit of swearing. Others have turned swearing into a normal expression, an equivalent of other gentler expressions such as great or fabulous. Once you pinpoint the source of your habit, youll be able to address the problem. 3. Subject yourself to little punishments when you swear. Some people who want to stop bad habits punish themselves by penalizing themselves whenever they commit the habit. How about putting a quarter in a jar each time you say a profane word. At the end of every month see how much you have put in the jar. If you notice that you are putting in less each month, then you are cursing less. You may then donate the money to charity or use it to buy a beer. 4. Try to stop swearing for 21 days. According to research, it takes 21 days for a habit to be broken. So if this is true, you only need 21 swear-free days to stop cursing. Otherwise, you have at least 21 days of clean words to be proud of and that could be a start. 5. Learn other harmless words of expression. Instead of blurting out profanity, why not replace it with something neutral. It may even be a silly word such as flower or soup. That would be way better than a bad word. Bad habits arent impossible to stop. It is indeed possible for you to stop cursing if you put your mind and heart into it.
Tips for your Health:
Study Links More Than 200 Diseases to Pollution
There are well over 100,000 hazardous chemicals in common use, and tens of thousands are routinely released into the environment. Chances are a blood test would indicate that you have a number of them in your body. Research conducted by doctors at the University of California and Boston Medical Center shows that environmental contamination can be linked to more than 200 different diseases – including cerebral palsy, kidney disease, hypertension, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, as well as 37 different kinds of cancer. If you breathe air, drink liquids, or eat food, there is no way to avoid some level of contamination. But there are a few things you can do to lessen the burden on your body:
Buy organically grown produce and naturally raised meats.
Bipolar Disorder or Manic Depression in Child By Tess Thompson Manic depression (now commonly referred to as Bipolar Disorder) is characterized by extreme changes in mood, energy and behavior. Until recently, manic child depression was rarely diagnosed in adolescents but recent researches have improved the ability of child psychiatrists in diagnosing and treating the condition in children and teens. There is no laboratory or imaging test that can help determine the prevalence of depression and parents concerned about their childs behavior should be on the look out for the following behavioral and emotional symptoms:
Manic Symptoms
o Misplaced self esteem – boastful of acquired or un-acquired skills. Depressive symptoms
o Sadness – unrelenting depressive mood, crying spells, and pervasive sorrow. Bipolar Disorder is further classified as Bipolar I and II. Bipolar I is a condition where the child experiences severe mood changes bordering on psychotic (loss of or highly distorted contact with reality) mania and depression. Bipolar II, on the other hand, is characterized by marked increase in physical and mental activity with irritable mood that lasts for 3 to 4 days between recurrent episodes of depression. Bipolar II disorder is more common in adolescents than Bipolar I. Cyclothymia is a form of mild Bipolar Disorder that persists over a long period. Significant mood symptoms suggestive of Bipolar I, II, or cyclothymia that are not of sufficient duration or severity to meet criteria for either of them are classified as Bipolar Disorder NOS (not otherwise specified) Before seeking any teen depression help, it is imperative to first get an evaluation from a specialist. Bipolar Disorder requires specialist treatments from a child psychiatrist. Depending upon the severity and frequency of mood changes, the psychiatrist may limit treatment to psychotherapeutic therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy or suggest medication with antidepressant and mood stabilizing drugs. Just as the symptoms of Bipolar Disorder alternate, the medication also needs to be changed often. This makes it extremely necessary to monitor the condition with frequent visits to the child psychiatrist. The importance of a correct diagnosis of teen depression , especially Bipolar Disorder must be emphasized here. It needs to be remembered that diagnosis is based on the scientific learning and training of the doctor who arrives at a considered opinion after studying the childs behavior, family history and developmental stage. At the same time improper handling of Bipolar Disorder can have serious consequences. It can seriously increase symptomatic behaviors and personality disorders like narcissism, antisocial and borderline personality. Incorrect medications may worsen the disorder and may necessitate hospitalization or incarceration under the juvenile justice system.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) was originally designed to reduce the psychotherapy process from months and years down to minutes and hours. From there it was discovered that astonishing physical healings also occurred. Symptoms faded for everything from Migraine Headaches to Cancer. Complete details are given on the EFT website at www.emofree.com It often works where nothing else will.
How does a natural cure like EFT work? Did you know you can use EFT for Pain Relief? How can I use EFT as a home remedy to get rid of Headaches? How does a natural cure like EFT work to fight my Addictions? Where is my free book on how to do EFT on myself? What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a natural reaction that everyone experiences – part of our fight or flight response – which helps us to be alert for potentially dangerous or fearful situations such as crossing a busy road or approaching a big black spider in the bathtub!
However for some people anxiety prevents them from living their life in the way that they would like.
Problem anxiety can take various forms – panic attacks that occur out of the blue; incredible fear about situations or objects that are not actually dangerous or usually scary; uncontrollable concerns and worry about almost everything; or compulsive repetition of a ritual due to an idea that it will reduce anxiety i.e. washing hands repeatedly to get rid of germs.
Anxiety is a complex combination of negative emotions, (fear, apprehension and worry), that is often accompanied by physical sensations such as palpitations, nausea, or shortness of breath. Anxiety, in medical terms, is described as having cognitive, somatic, emotional, and behavioral components where the cognitive component causes the body to expect uncertain danger. On doing so, somatically the body prepares the organism to deal with threat and blood pressure, heart rate, and sweating is increased. This is followed by an increase in blood flow to the major muscle groups and inhibition of the immune and digestive system.
Signs & Symptoms
People who may have an anxiety disorder often experience common symptoms of fear and panic. Fear vs. Anxiety – Anxiety has similar physical and emotional symptoms to fear. Fear, however, is always based on, or triggered by something. A person with an anxiety disorder feels the fear but cannot necessarily name the reason they feel anxious. Panic attacks – During a panic attack, fear may be so intense that you feel like you will lose control, have a heart attack, or go crazy. Panic attacks can occur with different anxiety disorders. In addition to fear and panic a person with an anxiety disorder may experience symptoms including:
Feeling irritable or uneasy
Imagine being stood in front of a high speed locomotive and you are frozen solid to the spot. Unable to move, knowing what is about to happen, and can do NOTHING to help yourself escape.
Now imagine being plunged into this scenario several times A DAY.
This is what it feels like for an Anxiety Disorder sufferer. Or as close as it can be described. The only difference is, there is no speeding train barreling towards you. It’s unseen. And comes from out of no where. Without warning. Crippling you in utter fear.
Sound intense?
It IS.
The ‘official’ ‘unofficial’ description of Anxiety is a disorder in which the individual afflicted feels an intense, irrational fear and an impending sense of doom or dread.
What this means is that, in ‘layman’s terms’, if you suffer from Anxiety Disorder, or any form of it, that you will be confronted with paralyzing fear for no apparent reason that will make you feel as if there is no possible way out of it. And you can experience this unprovoked fear at any time within the course of a day.
In addition to suffering from Anxiety Disorder, an individual may also have other common disorders that go hand-in-hand with it such as Depression, Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder, Agoraphobia, or any other number of Phobias that make it all the more important to seek treatment for.
Types of Anxiety
Some of the main types of anxiety disorders are: Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) – marked by unrealistic and excessive worry accompanied by constant and often unnecessary concern about anything or everything. Phobias including Social Phobia fear of being judged negatively by other people; Agoraphobia fear of certain objects or places; Specific Phobia intense fear of particular objects or situations. Panic Disorder – extreme panic attacks including all of the physical symptoms of panic along with a fear that the panic attack itself will lead to a total loss of control or even death. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – Persistent and unwanted thoughts which constantly invade and disrupt a persons life. People may end up performing the same action or processes over and over in an attempt to ease their anxiety about these thoughts. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) feelings of uncontrollable fear or flashbacks after a traumatic experience resulting in a person feeling unable to function in their daily life.
Anxiety/Panic Disorder
Most common symptoms, or the symptoms of the attacks would be dizziness, feeling faint, increased breathing, pounding heart, tingling or numbing sensations in the hands and feet, fear of impending doom, a disconnection with reality, or a total lack or loss of control.
People that suffer from this disorder may honestly feel as if they are dying, having a heart attack, or losing their minds. These attacks can occur at any time, and even while the sufferer is asleep.
Anxiety/Panic Disorder is often connected with other serious disorders such as depression. Due to the fact that the attacks associated with this disorder are such terrifying events, the sufferer may make several trips to the local emergency room not really knowing the true cause as it may be difficult to get a correct diagnosis at first.
This disorder can be very debilitating to the sufferer and can extremely hinder their daily activities. If a sufferer experiences an attack while driving, they will avoid driving to avoid having another attack. This can be true of any type of daily activity such as grocery shopping, doing dishes, watching television, etc.
However, this form of disorder is the most treatable of all the Anxiety Disorders, and so an individual experiencing, or believe they are experiencing symptoms of this disorder should seek help and effective treatment through their chosen health care professional.
Social Anxiety Disorder
The person suffering from this disorder has strong self-conscious issues and may often times feel as if they are not welcome, or really a part of the social setting. They feel as if they are constantly being judged or watched by others for no apparent reason other than those things they themselves feel self-conscious about.
The social settings can be those that occur on a daily basis, or those that are rare occurrences, such as a party, public speaking events, etc. Often times, the sufferer will experience any of the following symptoms when placed in social gatherings: profuse sweating, trembling or shaking, feeling sick to their stomachs, inability to speak, or blushing.
A person suffering from this type of disorder can become so upset by an upcoming social event that it will plague them for weeks in advance working them into an anxious frenzy by the time the event finally comes around.
In an attempt to ‘self-medicate’, a person experiencing this disorder will often times turn to alcohol or ‘street’ drugs to cope which leads to more disorders springing up. This disorder usually happens sometime during early childhood or adolescence and continues on throughout adulthood.
Treatment for this disorder can be accomplished through careful and consistent counseling and medication.
General Anxiety Disorder
Symptoms can also include increased nervousness, irritability, fatigue or restlessness. While not as extreme a condition such as Anxiety/Panic Disorder, it is still a serious illness that requires professional treatment from a qualified health care provider or counselor.
What Causes Anxiety?
Anxiety can be a result of an interaction of a number of factors including: Environmental factors – some people become anxious when faced with certain situations, life events, people or places. When these triggers are gone, the anxiety eases or disappears altogether. Biological factors – an imbalance of the chemicals in the brain that regulate feelings and physical reactions can alter someones thoughts, emotions or behaviour, resulting in anxiety. Genetic factors – It is still unclear whether Anxiety Disorders can be inherited but research shows that anxiety disorders run in some families. They may take on a different form for each family member. Personality – some personality types are more prone to anxiety. A person who often reacts in a very emotional way and who is easily upset may experience anxious thoughts and behaviours.

Tips for your Prosperity:
Some families don’t know about child tax benefits
Treasury investigators say they received 611,560 tax returns for 2001 on which people could have claimed child tax credits of up to $238, but didn’t. Most of these people earned less than $25,000. Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neil notes that the IRS knew about the problem but did little or nothing about it. Taking the tax credit could result in a refund even if you didn’t owe any tax. How to Handle Difficult Co-workers
Do you love your job, but just not your co-workers? If this is how you can describe your feelings about your job, you may want to continue reading on. Unfortunately, when placed in a similar position, one that involves difficult or unruly co-workers, many individuals assume that their only option is to resign from their current position. Of course, it is more than possible for you to do so, but did you know that you do have other options? If you ever find yourself in a situation where you have complications, problems, or a conflict with a co-worker of yours, there are a number of different steps that you can take. These steps, which are outlined below, can help you retain your job and your income, which you may rely on to support your family. If you have been looking for an easy way to deal with one or more difficult co-workers at your workplace, you will want to continue reading on. Before examining ways in which you can handle or deal with difficult co-workers, it is important to remember that circumstances should be taken into consideration. A small conflict may be one that you can handle on your own; however, more serious problems may call for more serious actions. With that in mind, one of the first things that you should do, when looking to deal with a difficult co-worker, is speaking with them privately. When speaking with a co-worker that you have a problem with, you will want to be careful. When this conversation takes place, should it ever, you will want to be as pleasant and as friendly as possible. Many individuals do not realize that even a slight attitude can make a problem with a co-worker much worse. If you are frustrated with a co-worker who can never seem to get a project completed on time, you may want to offer to help them create a schedule. If you have a problem with a perfume or cologne that a co-worker may be wearing, you may first want to explain any health complications that you may be having due to the scent. As previously stated, it is important to remember that there extenuating circumstances that should be taken into consideration. For instance, if you feel that a co-worker of yours is harassing you, in a sexual way or not, you may want to refrain from speaking to them. In certain situations like these, those who are unstable feed off of contact from you and others in your situation. To protect yourself from any harm, you may want to consider contacting your supervisor right away. Speaking of contacting your supervisor, if you have discussed your problems with a co-worker personally and you have not seen any positive changes, you may want to consider brining your supervisor in on the issue. When doing this, you will want to use your best judgment. If you regularly find yourself performing the duties and tasks for your co-worker or if they mishandled important company documents, you should approach your supervisor without any question. Smaller issues you may want to refrain from brining your supervisor in on, as you may actually end up creating a bad impression of yourself. The above mentioned steps are just a few of the many steps that you can take if you are having conflict or problems with one of your co-workers. As a reminder, you are advised to use your best judgment when handling situations such as these.
