People are usually afraid of negative things.

This fear stops them from pursuing self-improvement. Psychological self-improvement can help people in this situation.

Self-hypnosis is a great tool for goal setting and self-improvement. Most people are surprised at how easy it is to learn self-hypnosis.

When people hear the word “self-hypnosis” they imagine a person listening to an audio tape, mp3, or other mass-produced media. Such activity is perceived to induce a willingness to absorb suggestions centered on a specific behavior such as weight loss, smoking, etc.

1) Create a hierarchy of goals. Arrange it from the most important goal to the less important. If possible, your goals should be measurable.

2) For each goal, you should formulate fitting suggestions. This means you have to convert your goals into specific instructions to your subconscious mind on how to achieve each goal.

3) Do some relaxation exercises. Use the first minutes of your self-hypnotic session to achieve total relaxation. Try to forget all your worries and problems.

4) Start your hypnotic initiation phase by saying and repeating out loudly the hypnotic words you have chosen.

5) You can either think of these words or listen to a hypnotic tape or CD customized for your goal fulfillment needs.

Before you start self-hypnotic exercises, set a regular time schedule. Do your hypnotic sessions every day, five minutes a day is enough. Repeat your suggestions as often as possible during the day.

Measure your progress. Are you closer to your goal now than you were before? If you answered “no” to this question, you have to rethink and reorganize your train of thoughts.

To stimulate creativity, a change of settings may be helpful. The design, arrangement, color, ambience of the workplace could be altered a little. Or better yet, find the time to spend weekends in a cabin or in a resort, away from city life.
