5 Causes Of Sleeplessness And Their Self Help Remedies
There are many things that we do during the times that we are awake. Well aside from doing the basics like eating and brushing our teeth and the same stuff, we also need to go into work and enjoy our lives.
However, there are times that even though we are already doing the things that we really wanted, we still feel tired and sleepy.
The problem is that can really affect our work as well as how we deal with our lives. If that is happening to you, then you are experiencing fatigue and sleeplessness which is a great problem that needs to be fixed.
Wondering how to do that? Well, you must find out the root causes of sleeplessness and fatigue in order for you to make a remedy and adjustments. To help you with that, here are the causes of sleeplessness. Study them and find out where you can make adjustments.
1. Sleep Apnea.
This is a sleeping disorder wherein it is characterized by having difficulties in breathing. It occurs repeatedly and every time this happens, the quality if sleep is being degraded. For that reason, you feel that you are still sleepy even though you have slept for eight hours or more.
Sleep apnea is usually associated with diseases like heart problems, hypertension and diabetes. So consult your doctor on what you can do with that.
In addition, you can reduce your weight, quit smoking or even try sleeping with a tool such as CPAP to help you breath properly during the night.
2. You Have Little Energy.
This is typically caused by eating too little or not eating your breakfast or you have eaten the wrong foods. So, maintaining a balanced diet is what you really need. Try adding protein and carbohydrates in your meal to help you out.
3. Depression.
You maybe depressed due to something that happens to you like a traumatic event or a wrong decision in life. So, if you feel that you are being depressed for more than two weeks, then you should consult your doctor.
4. Too much coffee.
For those who are trying to finish their work at home or for those who want to study late at night, they typically drink a cup of coffee to keep them awake and alert.
However, too much caffeine can cause seizure, increase blood pressure, heart rate and even cause fatigue. So, start reducing your caffeine intake. Instead, drink a glass of milk before going to bed.
5. You are not getting enough sleep.
It is a general requirement for adults to have at least seven to eight hours a day and sleeping below those hours can affect your performance during the day.
So, try making sleep you priority. Keeping your mobile phones, laptops, books and other materials away from your bed cabinet really do help.
